Case for the upcoming iPhone 13 Pro Max Supposedly Shows a Significantly Larger Camera Module

iPhone 13 Camera Case

An iPhone 12 Pro Max in a case supposedly built for the impending iPhone 13 Pro Max, as seen in a new image shared on Twitter by DuanRui, reveals the full extent of the camera module size increase for the upcoming high-end iPhone.

Last week, dummy versions of the full iPhone 13 family were leaked, revealing relocated camera modules for both the normal iPhone 13 and the iPhone 13 small. The fresh image released today shows how the camera module for the future iPhone 13 Pro Max has grown in size when compared to the camera module on the current high-end iPhone.

While the evidence we’ve gathered so far points to a bigger camera module is most likely due to the expected inclusion of sensor-shift stabilization and better Ultra Wide capabilities in all variants of the lineup. The image published on Weibo should be treated with caution. Because case designers sometimes base their first case designs for forthcoming iPhones only on leaks and speculations, the image above may not accurately depict the camera module’s size increase.
