Apple Seeds Fifth Beta of macOS Big Sur 11.5 to Developers

The fifth beta of a future macOS Big Sur 11.5 upgrade was seeded to developers today for testing reasons.

After installing the appropriate profile from the Apple Developer Center, developers can download the macOS Big Sur 11.5 beta 5 using the Software Update method in System Preferences. For M1 Macs, developers can also download from the Developer Portal the restore image of macOS Big Sur Beta 5 to use it with Apple Configurator 2.

It’s possible that macOS Big Sur 11.5 will be a modest update that focuses on under-the-hood speed enhancements and bug fixes for issues that were not addressed in the macOS Big Sur 11.4 upgrade. In the first four betas, no new features were discovered.
