If you own an iPhone, iPad, or Mac, you should immediately update the software on your device. Apple has unexpectedly published a security patch as part of new software updates for each device to address a vulnerability in the previous version.

With the new updates, your iPhone should be running the iOS 14.8 version, your iPad iPadOS 14.8, and your MacBook and iMac should be on macOS Big Sur 11.6

In macOS 11.6, iOS 14.8 and macOS Catalina, Apple addressed CVE-2021-30860 where processing a maliciously crafted PDF may lead to arbitrary code execution and CVE-2021-30858.
