Apple has released the second beta of macOS Monterey for developers to download and install on their test Macs.
Any developer registered in the test program can get new betas from the Apple Developer Center. A public beta variant would normally follow a short time after the developer version, and would be available via the Apple Beta Software Program website, but Apple has warned that the first public beta will not be available until July.
The second Monterey beta does not appear to have Universal Control, but it does include new wallpapers, Safari upgrades, and other features.
MacOS Monterey 12 Beta 2 includes the following fixes:
- Fixed App Extensions within apps built for iOS or iPadOS. App Extensions now launch correctly.
- Fixed an issue that occurred when calling
- Fixed an issue with iOS and iPadOS apps running in macOS where resizable windows unexpectedly displayed rotated images when viewing live camera previews, or when capturing stills and video.
- Fixed an issue where input devices connected via bluetooth disconnected unexpectedly.
