Apple has released the first beta of iOS 15.1 and iPadOS 15.1 to developers.


Apple is resuming the beta train just one day after the public release of iOS 15. The first developer beta of iOS 15.1 and iPadOS 15.1 is now available, and developers may upgrade their devices via the Settings app today.

The iOS 15.1 beta 1 update is now available to developers via an over-the-air upgrade in the Settings app. Since always, if the update does not show for download right away, keep checking, as it might take a few minutes for it to reach all registered developers. iOS 15.1 beta 1’s build number is 19B5042h.

iOS 15.1 is expected to bring enhancements and bug fixes for iOS 15, but it may possibly include new features not found in iOS 15.0. As a reminder, iOS 15 does not include a number of promised features, such as SharePlay, ID cards in the Wallet app, App Privacy Report, CarPlay navigation enhancements, Universal Control, Legacy Contacts, and Find My AirPods.

Along with iOS 15.1 beta 1 and iPadOS 15.1 beta 1, Apple also launched tvOS 15.1 for Apple TV today. WatchOS 8.1 is also available for the Apple Watch.
